The talented footballer who joined the Rowdies in the off-season from Minnesota united maintains that the experiences he has gained playing in the MLS and the second-tier last season will enable him through the firmness of the up-coming championship.
“This is my sixth season in America and so I see nothing new but playing in the division is tough. I’m this because of the experience I had with Minnesota united last season, where the quality of play can be compared with some of the leagues in Europe apart from countries like, England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France,” Alhassan told footballmadeinghana.com
“When I first joined Minnesota united last season, I thought after playing for Portland Timbers in the MLS would make me an instant key player, but the quality of play made me realize that I’ve got to back up and I started to familiarize with the toughness of the competition and we nearly missed out on being champions. And I hope this season I can continue from where I left off by helping my mates with that experience”.

“Our last pre-season drawn match against Montreal Impact was evident that there’s hope that this season will be a successful one, due to how we controlled much of the game against a side full of top notch players” He continued.

Khalifa happens to be the son of George Alhassan, a legendary Black stars player and two time African nations cup winner.
