Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has seen off competition from Lewis Hamilton and Roger Federer to be named Best European Sportsperson of 2017.

It has been another productive year for the Portuguese forward on the trophy trail, with La Liga and Champions League crowns collected with Real.

Ronaldo also landed another FIFA Best Award and the fifth Ballon d’Or of an incredible career.
Another prize has now been added to the 32-year-old’s enviable collection, with his efforts being recognised by news agencies around the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Best European Sportsperson.
The poll to determine the Best European Sportsperson of the year includes votes from 26 news providers across the globe.
